Destin is 0-7 against Bozeman since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Sharks will host the Bucks at 6:30 p.m. Destin will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
While Destin didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a run and slipped past Donelson Christian Academy 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sharks have posted since March 12, 2025.
Graham Herndon looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Palmer Robbins was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Bozeman narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Wakulla 4-2.
Gauge Siemet looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Goodwin, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Griswold, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Bozeman's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Destin, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Destin has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Bozeman struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Destin came up short against Bozeman in their previous meeting back in February, falling 7-3. Will the Sharks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
