Softball Recap: Chisago Lakes Area Wins Going Away Against Zimmerman

After only one run in their last match, Chisago Lakes Area made sure to put some runs up on the board against Zimmerman on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Thunder 10-2. Considering the Wildcats have won three games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chisago Lakes Area is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Zimmerman, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chisago Lakes Area will challenge rival St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3.1, the Fighting Saints 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Zimmerman is set to face off against their familiar foe Cambridge-Isanti at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
