Ashland extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jayla Walker. The Blue Jays enjoyed a cozy 49-31 victory over the Cimarron Bluejays on Friday with plenty of help from Walker, who posted eight points in addition to 11 steals and seven boards. Walker is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.
The team also got some help courtesy of Kashlee Grigsby, who went 6-for-10 en route to 13 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Ashland's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Cimarron, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Coming up, Ashland will be playing at home against Meade at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cimarron, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ulysses on the 27th.
