Baseball Recap: West Vigo Has No Trouble Against South Putnam

After only one run in their last match, West Vigo made sure to put some runs up on the board against South Putnam on Wednesday. The Vikings blew past the Eagles 11-1. Considering the Vikings have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

West Vigo's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for South Putnam, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Vigo will head out to take on Terre Haute South Vigo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Putnam, they are taking a road trip to face off against Parke Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
