With a playoff win on the line, St. Joseph rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the St. Anthony Roman Legion 77-43. That 34 point margin sets a new team best for the Lancers this season.
St. Anthony's loss came despite strong showings from Josh Morales and Jose P Valle. Morales posted 20 points, while Valle had 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That's the most points Morales has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Nelson Escudero, who put up four points and six boards.
St. Joseph pushed their record up to 12-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for St. Anthony, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
