The Kennedy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Concord. Kennedy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Concord apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
Kennedy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Desmond Johnson, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darion Adams, who scored 12 points.
Kennedy bumped their record down to 2-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Concord, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Kennedy will be playing in front of their home fans against Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Swett is ranked 1011th, while Kennedy is ranked 1036th). As for Concord, they will head out on the road to face off against Vintage at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Vintage is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
