Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Vernon). They claimed a resounding 78-11 victory over the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks. With that win, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.

Mount Vernon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Shand, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 17 points and seven steals. Shand has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kim Williams, who went 6 of 9 on her way to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Mount Vernon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in nine consecutive matches.

Mount Vernon's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Marysville-Pilchuck, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
