The Springville Red Devils will challenge the Skyridge Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Springville knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Skyridge likes a good challenge.
Springville barely beat North Sanpete the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Hawks on Wednesday. Considering the Red Devils have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklynn Richardson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Allyx Haveron, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Jaz Ciliezar was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Skyridge's offense. They lost 9-0 to Lehi on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Springville is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Skyridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Skyridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Springville has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Skyridge, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Springville's sizable advantage in that area, the Falcons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Springville skirted past Skyridge 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
