Basketball Recap: Baleigh Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat NC H

On Tuesday, the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks earned a 42-33 victory over the NC H Heat. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forsyth Home Educators to victory, but perhaps none more so than Baleigh Johnson, who posted 15 points. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Lindsay Redmon was another key player, putting up 13 points along with six boards and three blocks.

Forsyth Home Educators smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Forsyth Home Educators' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for NC H, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks face off against the Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forsyth Home Educators is facing Sheets Memorial Christian at the right time seeing as Sheets Memorial Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for NC H, they will welcome Surry HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. NC H's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so Surry HomeSchool's offense will have their work cut out for them.
