After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rio Rancho, Farmington was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Cleveland Storm an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Scorpions have won eight contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alba Allen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Allen was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Aaliyah Archuleta was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
