Grandview is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will head out on the road to square off against the Arapahoe Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Grandview is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Rock Canyon, who was ranked 20th at the time (Grandview was ranked tenth). The Wolves blew past the Jaguars 37-0 last Saturday. Considering the Wolves have won three games by more than 27 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Grandview can attribute much of their success to Blitz McCarty, who threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave McCarty a new career-high in rushing yards (24). Chris Blanks helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe's game on Thursday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Rock Canyon with points to spare, taking the game 33-14. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Grandview better keep an eye on Landon Drumm. He was instrumental in Arapahoe's win, rushing for 38 yards and one score, while also picking up 41 receiving yards.
Arapahoe didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Rock Canyon to a completion percentage of just 38.1%. The team can thank Darren Fukuhara for the heroic effort on defense: he. Arapahoe wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 73.3%.
Arapahoe's defense didn't let Evan Diebold, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Rock Canyon's QB won't forget Brody Sieck anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times. Sieck is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Arapahoe got some further help from Connor Gilchrist: he made 16 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Grandview now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Arapahoe, their record is now 2-3.
Grandview came up short against Arapahoe in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 25-13. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
