Amari Clemons Delivers Electric Performance Vs Leon
Amari Clemons was instrumental in extending Marianna's winning streak to eight on Friday. Clemons did his part (and then some), rushing for 198 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Clemons might just drop another big game when he faces off against Holmes County on Friday. When Clemons last faced the Blue Devils back in August of 2023, he rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry.

Marianna was led to victory by Rj Mayes, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mayes threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August.
For the season, Mayes has thrown 16 touchdowns (and and only 3 pick) while averaging 161.1 passing yards per game.

The victory made it two in a row for Rutherford and bumps their season record up to 2-6. Reed and Rutherford will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Bozeman at 7:00 p.m.
