The BASIS - Chandler Bobcats and the Skyline Prep Bengals will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, BASIS - Chandler came up short against Heritage Academy and fell 52-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points BASIS - Chandler has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Skyline Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Heritage Academy on the road and fell 55-18. While losing is never fun, Skyline Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Heritage Academy is ranked 67th).
BASIS - Chandler now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Skyline Prep, they bumped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for BASIS - Chandler against Skyline Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-20 victory. Does BASIS - Chandler have another victory up their sleeve, or will Skyline Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
