Volleyball Recap: The Villages Charter Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After losing to Lecanto the last time they met, The Villages Charter decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Buffalo blew past the Panthers 3-0 on Monday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Buffalo this season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-18.

The Villages Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Saylah Childers led the charge by getting six digs and three aces. That's the most aces Childers has posted since back in August. Alana Wilson also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: The Villages Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lecanto only served five.

With the victory, The Villages Charter broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-11. As for Lecanto, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Coming up, The Villages Charter will host Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lecanto, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Crystal River on the 30th.
