On Tuesday, the Bishop Manogue Miners faced the Fernley Vaqueros in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Bishop Manogue strolled past Fernley with points to spare, taking the game 68-52. Bishop Manogue's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Jaileen Yarrow continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Mata Peaua was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Several Vaqueros players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelece Wasson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. The game was Wasson's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Tollestrup, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

As for Fernley, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-1.
