Jalen Smith gave up the fewest hits he has since back in March on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Santa Fe Trail is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-7 otherwise.

Smith's strong effort led Santa Fe Trail over Osawatomie and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
