Softball Recap: Shawano Community Has No Trouble Against Waupaca

After losing to Waupaca the last time they met, Shawano Community decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hawks blew past the Comets 13-1 on Thursday. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

Shawano Community's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava Wachtel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Shawano Community has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Waupaca, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawano Community will welcome Fox Valley Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waupaca, they will be playing at home against Clintonville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
