Gilman won the last time they faced Butternut and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates walked away with a 2-0 win over the Midgets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Gilman not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Butternut between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18.

Gilman's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Butternut, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilman will host Abbotsford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butternut, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lac Courte Oreilles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Midgets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
