After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, Christchurch School was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over the Catholic Crusaders. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Seahorses considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Alivia Bruce made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
