The Fordham Prep Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat LaSalle Academy 74-28 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-14.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fordham Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Will Gregory, who scored 17 points. The game was Gregory's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Matthew Kapfer, who scored 12 points.
Fordham Prep's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for LaSalle Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fordham Prep will face off against Monsignor Farrell at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Monsignor Farrell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 429th, while Fordham Prep is ranked 162nd). LaSalle Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Regis at 4:15 p.m. on January 16th.
