The Chaparral Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 71-53 bruising from University. Chaparral has struggled against the Trojans recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Alphonzo Houser and CJ Norwood certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Houser scored nine points along with four steals, while Norwood scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Norwood pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brad Miles, who scored six points.
Chaparral has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-18 record this season. As for University, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-5.
Chaparral will head out on the road to take on the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.
