A Season-Best Effort from Elias Navarro Leads Schurr over San Gabriel
On Friday, Schurr got the W thanks in part to Elias Navarro playing the best football he has all season. Navarro wasn't messing around, rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. The match was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season.
San Gabriel had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Navarro it was a similar story. When Navarro last faced the Matadors back in September of 2023, he rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

Big Game from Alvarado As Schurr Won 53-0
