Volleyball Recap: Lapel's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lapel lost against Batesville back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lapel fell 2-0 to Batesville. Lapel's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Krosley Riggs paced Lapel's offense, picking up seven kills. Riggs got some help from Bella Roland and her 12 assists. Sidney Lundstrum controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Batesville was led to victory by Katie Wilhelm and Anya Richey. Wilhelm had nine assists and six digs, while Richey had ten digs and three assists.

Lapel's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Batesville, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Lapel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Whiteland on the 27th. As for Batesville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Greenfield-Central on the 27th.
