Gateway Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Holestin out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Holestin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Matthew Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Broadwater Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Pruitt, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Quinn Ames, who scored ten points.
Gateway Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Broadwater Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
