The Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors waltzed into Friday's matchup with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 28-19 victory over Northside Christian. This was payback for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, who suffered a 34-22 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy was led to victory by Kendall Johnson and Parker Stirnkorb. Johnson picked up 140 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Stirnkorb threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Northside Christian still got an impressive performance from Gavin Richardson, who rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Zephyrhills Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points per game. As for Northside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zephyrhills Christian Academy's homestand continues as they prepare to take on American Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd. American Collegiate Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than two points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Northside Christian, they will be playing at home against Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
