The result was nothing new for the Barons, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Buckeye Valley got a massive performance out of Bailey Degen, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Callis, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Buckeye Valley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Whitehall-Yearling, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Whitehall-Yearling has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .511. However, it's not like Buckeye Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .518. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
