Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Schaumburg). They claimed a resounding 33-0 win over the St. Francis Spartans. Given the Saxons' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Spartans are ranked 55th) , the win on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The critical scores for Schaumburg came from Martha White, Sophia Snow, Stayan Porter, and Destiny Bickhem.

Schaumburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Macaela Tenorio and White. White got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Schaumburg's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for St. Francis, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Schaumburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-13 loss against Fremd on the 9th. St. Francis has also already played their next matchup (against Benet Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
