Baseball Recap: Nanih Waiya Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Nanih Waiya, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Choctaw County Chargers 13-12. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Chargers back in February, they had to take a 13-2 loss.

The team relied heavily on Kade Massey, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Nanih Waiya's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 2-9 when he doesn't). Parker Prewitt also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Massey wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Nanih Waiya lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Nanih Waiya's record is now 9-10. As for Choctaw County, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

The Falcons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Choctaw County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Columbus at 7:00 p.m.
