The Dallas Lutheran Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The New Year welcomed they with a 77-29 whooping from Bishop Gorman. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dallas Lutheran has scored all season.
Bishop Gorman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Richbourg, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Richbourg hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Beau Bender, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Dallas Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Bishop Gorman, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dallas Lutheran will take on Lakehill Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lakehill Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday. As for Bishop Gorman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Yavneh Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
