The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central in their matchups with Macon County: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Joshua Seldon, who scored 16 points. Seldon has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarcus White, who scored nine points.
Macon County was led to victory by Dontavious Collier and Frankie Raines Jr. Collier dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Raines Jr almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Collier has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 20 times he's played. Eric Rice was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Central's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Macon County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.
Central will be playing at home against Taylor County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Central is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season. As for Macon County, they will head out on the road to take on Sumter County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 71.26 points so far this season, Macon County's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Sumter County better be ready for a challenge.
