St. Patrick won the last time they faced Mount Olive, and things went their way on Friday, too. St. Patrick took their game against Mount Olive 19-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for St. Patrick.
Mount Olive's loss came about despite a quality game from sophomore Javeon Gordon, who rushed for 96 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with 9 tackles Gordon was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse freshman Quandarius Hubbard, who racked up 14 tackles.
The win bumped St. Patrick's record up to 2-0. Mount Olive are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.
Next week, St. Patrick take on Pope John Paul II at 7:00 PM. St. Patrick continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest. Mount Olive are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Bogue Chitto next week at 7:00 PM.
