Baseball Recap: Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Has No Trouble Against South Terrebonne

The matchup between Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy and South Terrebonne on Tuesday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. Everything went the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls' way against the South Terrebonne Gators as the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls made off with a 14-7 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Swamp Owls considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Brayden Netterville made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Netterville was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Brennan Deist was a standout: he scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Lawson, who went a perfect3-for-3 with two stolen bases and five RBI.

The victory got Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy back to even at 1-1. As for South Terrebonne, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy will venture away from home to face off against Pine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy is facing Pine at the right time seeing as Pine is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
