The Cohasset Skippers are taking a road trip to  take on the Sandwich Blue Knights  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Cohasset is coming into the  game hot, having won their last three games.
Last Friday, Cohasset beat Framingham 4-1.
Meanwhile, Sandwich hadn't done well against Rockland recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Blue Knights blew past the Bulldogs 6-0. Considering the Blue Knights have won four contests by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
Not much got past  Sophie Farrington, who gave up just  a  hit and racked up 14 Ks to keep Rockland off the board. Farrington has been consistent : she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Lane Kraihanzel was  excellent,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run and one  stolen base. That  home run was  her first of the season.
 Sandwich's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Cohasset, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.
 Everything went Cohasset's way against Sandwich in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024, as Cohasset made off with  a  17-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Skippers since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
