While Charlestown couldn't topple New Albany on Saturday, it's impossible to ignore the impact made by underclassman Connor Buck. Buck wasn't messing around, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. The pitching appearance was his third straight with two or fewer walks.

Looking ahead, Buck and Charlestown will head out on the road to challenge North Harrison at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Buck's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Pirates' six-game streak of wins at home.
