The Greenville Christian Eagles will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Longview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Greenville Christian suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by First Baptist on the road and fell 74-31. Greenville Christian has struggled against First Baptist recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Longview Christian were a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a hard 42-24 fall against Heritage Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Longview Christian has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Oscar Adame, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Obed Sandel, who scored a point along with six steals.
Greenville Christian's record is now 1-10. Longview Christian's record now sits at 4-9.
Greenville Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Longview Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-43 win. Does Greenville Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Longview Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
