Rivermont Collegiate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eamon Matlock led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Graham Matlock, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Morning Star Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gavin Trotter. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Brady, who scored 5 points along with 4 steals.
The victory got Rivermont Collegiate back to even at 2-2. As for Morning Star Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
