The Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 32-19 to Eldorado. Pinecrest Academy Cadence has struggled against Eldorado recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Pinecrest Academy Cadence saw an underclassman step up: Kellon Trubey rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 164 yards and a touchdown. Another big playmaker for Pinecrest Academy Cadence was Nixon Gasperosky, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Jaeshawn West was his usual excellent self, rushing for 283 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. West is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Xavier Delgado was another key contributor, picking up 77 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Eldorado, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eldorado will head out on the road to face off against Sunrise Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Sunrise Mountain will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
