Harbor Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-21.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Lucas, who had 11 assists and two aces. Peyton Abbott was another key player, getting 13 digs.
Malysia Sorensen had an outrageously good game for Warren as she had 16 digs and three aces. Sorensen has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played. Brooke Sherry also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Harbor Creek's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Warren, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harbor Creek will face off against Meadville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Warren, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Clarion Area at 7:15 p.m.
