The King City Wildkats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 20-12 win over Stanberry. The victory was just what King City needed coming off of a 62-12 loss in their prior contest.
King City found their leader in underclassman Ryder Sample, who rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown. Sample was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
King City's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Stanberry, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.
King City will take on South Nodaway at TBD on Friday. South Nodaway is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Stanberry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
