West Seneca East is 1-9 against the Billies since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The West Seneca East Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Williamsville South Billies at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully West Seneca East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 37 last Saturday.
West Seneca East won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune last Saturday. They were dealt a 61-16 loss at the hands of Lake Shore. While losing is never fun, West Seneca East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Eagles are ranked 141st).
Meanwhile, Williamsville South's 21-2 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Kearney on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Williamsville South in their matchups with the Kings: they've now lost five in a row.
West Seneca East has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Williamsville South, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
West Seneca East was dealt a bruising 70-23 defeat at the hands of the Billies in their previous matchup back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point West Seneca East was down 40-11.
