The Kongiganak Wolverines entered their tilt with the Anna Tobeluk Wolves with four consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with five. Kongiganak simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Anna Tobeluk 60-32 on the road.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kongiganak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mariah Tinker, who scored 24 points. Another player making a difference was Anisha Tinker, who scored 18 points.
Kongiganak's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0. As for Anna Tobeluk, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Lewis Angapak the next time they take the court. Kongiganak will head out to face Lewis Angapak at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Anna Tobeluk will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
