After both having extra time off, the Florence Christian Eagles and the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 11:00 a.m. on December 27th. Florence Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Florence Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They strolled past Dillon Christian with points to spare, taking the game 42-27.
Florence Christian found their leader in underclassman Emerson Poston, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Poston has scored at least 25% of Florence Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Karley Hickson, who scored five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Charleston Collegiate was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Thursday as they fell 42-38 to Ashley Hall. Charleston Collegiate has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Florence Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Charleston Collegiate, they bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
