The MacArthur Generals's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They blew past Aldine 53-30. With MacArthur ahead 29-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Despite the loss, Aldine had strong showings from Porsha Daniels, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds, and Melanie Umanzor, who scored six points along with two steals and two blocks. Umanzor has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 16 times she's played.
MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 9-19. As for Aldine, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-25.
MacArthur will be playing in front of their home fans against Nimitz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nimitz is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Aldine, they will head out on the road to square off against Dekaney at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dekaney is on a seven-game streak of home losses, Aldine a 14-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
