The Dixie Flyers entered their tilt with the Desert Hills Thunder with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Dixie claimed a resounding 78-47 win over Desert Hills at home. With Dixie ahead 38-18 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Dixie had a senior duo take command as Breckon Robinson scored 30 points along with three steals and Logan Weidauer dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Lemke, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Desert Hills lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ben Chase, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Eli Allred, who scored 15 points.
Dixie's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points per game. As for Desert Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixie will square off against Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. Desert Hills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Allowing an average of 57.2 points per game, Snow Canyon has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this matchup.
