The Premont Cowboys will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Freer Buckaroos at 6:00 p.m. Premont is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Premont was beaten by Ben Bolt 65-25.
Ben Bolt typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Freer proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Badgers 44-30.
Freer found their leader in underclassman Ayden Ramirez, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ramirez has scored at least a third of Freer's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Flores, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Premont has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-24 record this season. As for Freer, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-18 record this season.
Premont suffered a grim 74-52 defeat to Freer when the teams last played back in January. Will Premont have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
