They breezed by Wapato at home to the tune of 37-6. The result was nothing new for Naches Valley, who have now won four games by 31 points or more so far this season.
Naches Valley haved a senior duo take command as Thane Denny rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns and Dylan Mueller threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
Naches Valley's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Gabriel Advincula and Jaden Zimmerman who racked up four sacks between them.
Naches Valley's victory was their fourth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-5 College Place and 2-5 Wahluke (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37.8% over those games). As for Wapato, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Naches Valley will head out on the road to face off against Toppenish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Toppenish is ranked 118th, while Naches Valley is ranked 139th). As for Wapato, they will be playing at home against Zillah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
