The Great Lakes Academy Gators had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a rough 57-20 loss at the hands of Dallas Academy.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emilio Jauregui-Sanders, who scored 8 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greyson Guesner, who scored 5 points.
Dallas Academy's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam White, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chris Stephens, who scored 28 points along with 3 steals.
Great Lakes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Dallas Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Great Lakes Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dallas Academy will head out on the road to face off against Faith Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
