The Frontier Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Tri-County Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Frontier is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Frontier is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of North White by a score of 14-12 on Thursday.
Tatum Lear and Emma Hendryx stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lear went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI, while Hendryx got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Kobie Neal also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Tri-County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Carroll on Monday. The Cavaliers blew past the Cougars 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Madilyn Nevitt and Grace Luck made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Nevitt didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Luck pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Nevitt went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Luck went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Lauren Bledsoe was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Schultz, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Tri-County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive matchups.
Tri-County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Frontier, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Frontier might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Tri-County in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
