Softball Recap: Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Tharptown

While Lindsay Lane Christian Academy put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Tharptown. The Lions put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 13 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Leigha Carder was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March.

In other batting news, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Briley Miller, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles Miller has posted since back in February. Grace Beaston was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 15 consecutive games.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tharptown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-15.

Lindsay Lane Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 win against Randolph School on the 14th. Tharptown has also already played their next game (against Lexington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
