Kouts is 0-10 against South Central since May of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs & Fillies will head out on the road to take on the Satellites at 4:30 p.m. Kouts is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Kouts took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let River Forest get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Mustangs & Fillies haven't had any issues with the Ingots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Owen Garavalia tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Billy Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ben Finney, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Kouts kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, South Central was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Culver Academies, falling 13-1.
South Central also got a good showing from Brody Grass, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Grass has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
South Central dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Kouts, their record now sits at 9-2.
South Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kouts hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360. It's a different story for South Central, though, as they've only averaged .228. Will they be able to contain Kouts' hitters?
Kouts suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to South Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Mustangs & Fillies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
